8/14/2023 0 Comments Hydro quip spa error codes![]() Counter clockwise turns decrease pressure required. If not and you know flow is not the issue, most pressure switches have an adjusting collar that will vary the pressure it takes to activate it. With your meter on ohms, check across the poles of the switch. To check for activation: with power off, disconnect the leads going to the pressure switch. Then re-start the hot tub, if the error code goes away, the problem was either a dirty filter (clean or replace) or too many jets were closed off. If however you have the fault then the first thing to do is shut the spa down, do not empty, remove the filter and make sure all the jets are open (as best you can). Rule number 1 is to always (not with pressurized filter cannister) fill the hot tub after a drain down by placing the hose pipe in the filter housing (remove filter) this fills the hot tub from inside to outside, rather than placing the hose pipe in tub, (this fills outside to inside) and is the primary cause of FLO errors. The fundamental reason is water flow through the spa control system, if the water is not flowing at a rate to satisfy the pressure switch, it will result in one of the error codes above. These error codes are caused by a variety of reasons. ![]() These codes are related to flow issues or the pressure switch/flow switch and are by far the most common error codes. Then you have to check if the flow of water is sufficient in the heater and to remove the air by unscrewing it.Check if the valves and the jets are ok and if the filter is clean.Received from Monarch regarding err 6.Possible causes are an airlock in the system, lack of flow through the heater (could be caused by dirty filters, closed gate vales, or a faulty circ pump), a faulty sensor or a faulty pcb err 6 : Thermal Cut Out Tripped - This error means that the temperature sensor inside the heater has detected temperatures which could damage the heater as a result the heater will not switch on until until it has cooled to below 38°c and the system has been reset (turn off and on at the mains).err 3 : Stuck Button - Probable cause is faulty topside control., - Sundance/Spa Builders - 'Watchdog' - 48C reached, electronic fault, shuts system down. Temperature unknown - displayed at power up for 2 minutes - not a fault SS=0, SS=S : Multiple causes - open circuit sensor, faulty panel connection, improper voltage, etc. SA, SnA, SnH, Sb, Snb, Snt : Sensor Open Circuit or faulty PSoC,PSoL,PSoH : Pressure switch open circuit with Circulating, Low Speed, PnL, nl : Communication disrupted between touchpad and PCB PLUG : Sundance/Spa Builders Service Technician's Test Plug accidentally left connected to PCB Pd, Pd : Running on battery - power supply interrupted LS=0, LS=S : Multiple causes - open circuit sensor, faulty panel connection, improper voltage, etc ![]() ILOC : Interlock failure, also caused by faulty ozonators, pumps and equipment Hold : Panel buttons pressed too many times too quickly HL,HFL,HH,OHH : High limit sensor reading 45-48C, or above - check flow HiLi, HLEr : Water temperature above acceptable range Or for Sundance/Spa Builders/Balboa - Flow switch is closed circuitįLC, FL2 : Flow/pressure switch closed circuit - debris in switch, perforated diaphragm, faultyįLO (flashing) : Flow switch open circuit - Sundance/Spa Builders/ Balboa Contact us for more information.ĬE 03 : Temperature sensor fault or Stuck ButtonĬE 04 : Water Sensor/Pressure switch faultĬE 06 : High Limit manual reset Klixon trippedĬE 08 : Temp Sensor Fault - (Spaquip Digital 2000 MK1 sensor)ĬE 09 : Water Prime Fault - Lack of waterĬool, COOL, COL : Water is 11C below set point - not a faultĭR, dr, dy : Heater dry - insufficient water faultĮ2 : short circuit/closed high limit sensorĮ4 : Short circuit/closed pressure/flow switchįLO, Flo, FL1 : Flow/pressure switch open circuit-lack of flow/pressure Spa Error Codes - For Most Spa & Hot TubsĬheck the error code on the Spa Touch pad and check our list below.
